Wat is Systeem-kunst?

Systems Art verwijst naar een groep kunstenaars die eind jaren 60 en begin jaren 70 de kaders van het conceptualisme en minimalisme gebruikten om kunst te maken die reageerde op de omgeving. Ze verwierpen traditionele kunstthema's en omarmden esthetische systemen, waarbij ze experimenteerden met diverse media. Systems Art had vaak een verband met hedendaagse politieke bewegingen uit die tijd, waarbij de onderlinge relatie tussen het kunstwerk, de context en de bredere sociale en politieke omgeving werd benadrukt.

Tekenen en waterverven zijn twee afzonderlijke traditionele kunsttechnieken die vaak samen worden gebruikt. Tekenen kan de basis leggen voor een schilderij van waterverf. Tekenen over een opgedroogde waterverf of het gebruik van waterverf pencelen zijn gecombineerde kunsttechnieken.

Tempera

Tempera

Tempera is een verf die traditioneel wordt gemaakt door gekleurde pigmenten met eigeel te mengen. Het droogt snel en is zeer duurzaam, met enkele voorbeelden die teruggaan tot 100 na Christus. Moderne temperaverf gebruikt vaak lijm in plaats van eigeel als bindmiddel. Tempera staat bekend om zijn heldere kleuren en fijne, gedetailleerde toepassing, waardoor het populair is voor paneelschilderingen en iconen.
